FORT PIERRE – Cade Edwards scored 2:03 into overtime Friday as Sioux Falls 1 defeated the Oahe Capital boys 4-3 at the Expo Center, breaking the Capitals’ five-game winning streak.
Ashton Griese dramatically forced overtime for the Capitals (11-2-1) by scoring with a second left in the third period. Barret Schweitzer and Andrew Coughlin also scored for the Capitals.
Cory Perdaems scored the first three goals for Sioux Falls 1 (13-0), who had allowed only six total goals in their first 12 games.
Colin Lee made 29 saves in goal for Oahe. Each team had 33 shots on goal.
