Graveside services for Jerome Elk, Sr., 46, of Bismarck, North Dakota will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, May 25, 2023 at Big Lake Cemetery in Cannonball, North Dakota. Visitation will take place from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM, Thursday, May 25, 2023, at the Kesling Funeral Chapel in Mobridge. Jerome passed away, Wednesday, May 17, 2023 at his home in Bismarck.
Jerome Evans Elk’s life had a lot of experiences and happenings. He worked as a laborer and then started in a fire fighter position, he was proud to reminisce about his fires and where he made close friends.
He then went on to security at various places. He did construction work and was a ranch hand. He worked in the oil field on the Three Affiliated Tribes.
Jerome enjoyed sitting, camping, and fishing at the river. He loved to swim. He always enjoyed the company of his friends. Jerome loved the smell of rain and loved to hear the thunder. He had a passion for pictures of his family and friends. He picked up the hobby of collaging after he took numerous pictures that he printed. Jerome enjoyed various types of movies, but his favorite were the Marvel movies; Spiderman and Batman. Jerome loved spending time with his “Baby Dro” and “Zavy” and was glad to be involved with Amina, Rob Jr., and Evelyn Jade. He loved his grand babies and they all loved La La.
Jerome was known for his sense of humor. Jerome loved to sit and visit with Kolas (Friends) as he would say. Everyone knew that he would make them laugh with his hand gestures, phrases, and comedy. Jerome was also an avid New England Patriots and KU Jayhawk fan.
Jerome is survived by two sisters; Raylene Ann Elk and Georgene Elk Scruggs, his children; Chelsea, Terrell, Jerome Jr., Nikalus, Nikya, Lexxin Evans Jerome, his grand children; Amina Isabel, Zavianna Ivory, Leandro Iron Hawk, Cleosandra Luna and many, many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Jerome is preceded in death by his, dad; Evans John Elk, mother; Cleone Barbara Iron Hawk, daughter; Erica Jade Elk, grandson; Amia Isaiah James Elk.
Until the end, he had faith and prayer in the Lord, Savior and Jesus Christ. We will miss him…..
