FREMONT, NE – Even one of their best games so far couldn’t bring the Oahe Zap a win.
Ben Swails hit a game-ending two-run double in the bottom of the ninth Tuesday to give the Fremont Moo a 4-3 win over the Oahe Zap at Moller Field, Oahe’s eighth straight loss.
The Zap had a 3-2 lead heading into the inning. Reliever Jack McDonald, who had pitched two and a third scoreless innings, gave up a leadoff single to Tyler Harrington and a double to Tyman Long before Swails doubled them both in.
Oahe (1-11) had taken the lead with two runs in the top of the eighth. Trenton Duchscherer tied the game with an RBI fielder’s choice, then William Hoch hit a sacrifice fly. Kyle Memarian drove in the other Zap run with a ground ball.
