Vicki Verneen Rivenes, age 57, of Onida, SD, passed away at her home on Friday June 2, 2023. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, June 19 2023, at Feigum Funeral Home in Pierre SD.

Vicki was born on April 28, 1966, to Ronald Duane and Janet Rae (Morford) Rivenes at the Onida Hospital. She grew up in Onida and graduated from Sully Buttes High School in 1984. She moved to Pierre, SD a few years after graduation. Vicki worked for the South Dakota State Department of Insurance for 19 years. Vicki moved back to Onida after her mom passed away in 2019 to help take care of her dad. (He passed away in November 2020.)

Vicki’s greatest joy in life was when her son Kenden was born July of 2003.

Vicki was a strong woman who worked hard & played hard. Always outgoing, she loved to laugh & share stories with others. She would give you the shirt off her back. She was proud to share that she was able to beat cancer twice! Vicki received Jesus as her Lord and Savior on Thursday morning, May 18, 2023, just a few weeks before she passed away at her home from COPD.

She is survived by her son Kenden Ronald Rivenes, Aunt Susan (Dan) Hagan of Deadwood, SD, Uncle Jack (Sharon) Kelley of Hayward WI, Aunt Marlys (Jerauld) Salathe of New York Mills, MN, Aunt Janice (Don) Ortmeier of Minneapolis, MN, and Aunt Gail (Marvin) Morford of Belle Fourche, SD.

Vicki was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Kenneth and Dennis.
