Funeral services for Terry W. Bely, 59, of Pukwana, SD will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 9, 2023 at St. Margaret’s Catholic Church in Kimball, SD with burial in the Bohemian National Cemetery at rural Pukwana, SD. Visitation will begin Tuesday at 5:00 p.m. with a 7:00 p.m. Rosary/Scripture service at St. Margaret’s Catholic Church in Kimball, SD.
Terry William Bely, 59, lost his battle with cancer on August 2, 2023. He spent his last few days surrounded by his loving family who were at his side until the end.
Terry William Bely was born February 29, 1964 in Platte, SD to LeRoy Clarence and Wilma Arlene (Franek) Bely. He spent his childhood on the family farm in Kimball, SD with his three sisters Vickie, Bonnie and LeAnn along with his brother Burl.
On September 15, 1984, Terry was united in marriage to Crystal Hildebrand at St. Margaret’s Catholic Church in Kimball, SD. To this union, four children were born Tyler, Kyle, Korbin, and Dalton. They raised their boys on the family farm.
Terry was blessed to have two grandchildren Roy and Arya. These two grandbabies were the light, pride, and joy of Terry’s life.
Terry worked at Trail King for 25 years as a welder. In those 25 years, some great friendships were forged. Terry then joined the Trail-Eze Team as a welder where he enjoyed creating so many new friendships.
Terry enjoyed spending time with his family playing cards, hunting, fishing, and camping. In more recent years, he enjoyed going to Cool Deadwood Nights where he liked looking at all the restored cars.
Terry is survived by his loving wife, Crystal; four sons Tyler (Randi), Kyle, Korbin, and Dalton; three siblings Vickie Hines, Bonnie (Shannon) Rasmussen, and LeAnn (Jeff) Birkeland; two grandchildren Roy and Arya; two sisters-in-law Deb Bely and Kili Klinetobe; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Preceding him in death were his parents; his brother Burl; two brothers-in-law Larry Hines and Travis Klinetobe; his mother and father-in-law Larry and Karen Hildebrand.
The family would like to thank AseraCare Hospice for their care so Terry was able to remain at home.
