Julia “Judy” Ann (Harris) Hattum, 84, of rural Harrold, also known as the “Pocket”, passed away Sunday, August 20, 2023. Visitation will be from 5:30-7:30pm at Isburg Funeral Chapel on Thursday, August 24 with a funeral service on Friday, August 25 at 10:30am at Isburg Funeral Chapel. Interment will be at Scotty Philip Cemetery and for those unable to attend the services they will be live streamed on the link below.

Julia “Judy” Ann (Harris) Hattum was born January 15, 1939, in Pierre South Dakota to Joe and Hilda (Valentine) Harris. She grew up in Ft. Pierre and graduated from Stanley County High School. During her senior year of high school, she met the love of her life Mohammed “M” Hattum and a few days after graduating from high school they went off and got married on May 20, 1957, in Miles City, MT., and to this union 3 children were born Albert, Kay and Mary. They made their home in the “Pocket” for over 50+ years where they raised their family.
Judy was a stay-at-home mom and worked along M farming and ranching. She enjoyed working their Amway business and took several trips to Amway events. She was a member of the Helping Hand Club, the Harrold Steakette’s and the Moose Lodge in Ft. Pierre. She loved mowing the yard and loved spending time with family, especially her kids and grandkids.
Grateful for having shared her life are son Albert (Vicky) Hattum; daughters, Kay (Shane) Donahue and Mary (Scott) Hoyt; grandchildren Dan (Crystal) Hattum, Jennifer Gloe, Elizabeth Olson, Christopher Donahue, Tyler (Ashleigh) Hattum, and Sadie Hoyt. Ten great grandchildren. Sister-in-law Sharon Harris. Brother-in-law Jack Hattum; along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She is preceded in death by her husband; her parents; Brother, Richard Harris, and several brother and sister in laws.
