PIERRE – A day after a rout of Sturgis at home, Pierre Governor Volleyball received every bit of a battle from the Spearfish Spartans Saturday before the home side prevailed.
The Governors rallied from being down two sets to one to win 25-17, 25-27, 23-25, 25-14, 15-12 at the Riggs High Gym.
Reese Terwilliger had 16 kills and an ace for Pierre (6-1). Campbell Boddicker registered 15 kills and nine aces. Abigail Kropp had 11 kills and two aces. Elly Broers served four aces. Campbell Cronin had three scoring blocks.
