PIERRE, S.D. – Due to the late winter storm moving through South Dakota a pair of athletic events that Pierre was to participate in tomorrow have been cancelled. The Lady Governors Golf team season opening meet at the Harrisburg Invitational has been cancelled. And the Pierre Governor tennis triangular with Aberdeen Central and Rapid City Stevens that Pierre was to host has been cancelled. Pierre Riggs High School Athletic Director Brian Moser says that neither event will be re-scheduled. Pierre has called off school for both today and tomorrow (Thursday) due to the storm. Also the Rapid City Track O Rama scheduled for Friday in Rapid City has now been cancelled. The Pierre Governor and Lady Governor Track Teams were scheduled to attend that meet.
