RAPID CITY – The team that has the top dynasty in South Dakota high school volleyball will again play for a title.
Sioux Falls Christian made its seventh straight championship match by winning in the semifinal round Friday in the SDHSAA Class A State Volleyball Tournament at the Summit Arena at The Monument. The Chargers have won 12 championships since 2007. Their opponent Saturday will be Rapid City Christian, who made the program’s first title match with a dominant win over Miller.

Sioux Falls Christian def. Dell Rapids, 25-19, 25-16, 24-26, 25-11
Sioux Falls Christian’s big hitters did the job again as the Crusaders (34-4) advanced to their seventh consecutive state championship match. Sidney Oostra had 18 kills. Taylor Byl had 15 kills, four aces and three blocks. Katelyn Maas had 11 kills.
Madelynn Henry scored 13 kills for Dell Rapids (27-7).
Rapid City Christian def. Miller, 25-18, 25-17, 25-14
Consolation
Platte-Geddes def. Lennox, 25-23, 25-14, 25-23
Platte-Geddes (27-7) swept despite two tight sets, helped by a strong defense that recorded 56 digs. Cadence Van had 14 kills and nine digs for the Black Panthers. Karly VanDer Werff scored 13 kills with 12 digs.
For Lennox (19-12), Dani Highum had 18 kills.
Dakota Valley def. Wagner, 25-19, 25-17, 29-27
Five different players had two aces each for the Panthers (20-11). Sophie Tuttle scored 16 kills. Claire Munch had nine kills and 24 digs.
Ashlyn Koupal had nine kills for Wagner (26-8).
