Hughes County Commission give total of 4% wage increase to employees, no raise for themselves

During this week’s (Jan. 2, 2023) Hughes County Commission meeting, Tom Rounds was elected chair and Randy Brown will be the vice-chair.

The commissioners approved a 4% wage increase for county employees, but kept their annual salary the same, at just shy of $17,000 ($16,917).
