JULY 25, 2024:
As part of the Pierre-Fort Pierre Rotary Club’s 75-year-plus anniversary activities this year (2024), members voted to raise $75,000 to fund four project areas.
Rotary Club member John Simpson told the Pierre School Board this month (July 8, 2024) that one of those projects is putting a series of benches with bike racks around the two communities.
Simpson said they’re in the process of finding people and materials to build the bench-bike rack combos.
The 75-year-plus anniversary projects are in addition to the Pierre-Fort Pierre Rotary Club’s ongoing ones.

FEBRUARY 26, 2024:
The Pierre-Fort Pierre Rotary Club celebrated it’s 75-year-plus anniversary over the weekend (Feb. 24, 2024) by announcing a new fundraising effort.
President Rhea Waldman says they want to raise $75,000 to fund four project areas.
Waldman says these projects are in addition to the Rotary Club’s ongoing ones.
Also at the celebration, Tom Tveidt and Tad and Carolyn Perry were recognized for their financial contribution to the Pierre-Fort Pierre Rotary Club.
