A 54 year old man from Volga faces charges in Pierre because of an incident Tuesday afternoon (March 19, 2024, at 3:15pm).
Information from the Pierre Police Department says a patrol officer stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation near the intersection of Euclid Ave. and Prospect Ave. in Pierre. The driver, Deon Lucas, became uncooperative with officers and was ultimately arrested and taken to the Hughes County Jail. Lucas is charged with exhibition driving, obstructing an officer and resisting arrest.
