An 18 year old from Pierre faces charges after an incident late Saturday morning (April 6, 2024, 11:40am) in the 2300 block of Flag Mountain Drive in Pierre.
Information from the Police Department says patrol officers responded to two subjects yelling and causing problems with a third subject. Upon arrival, officers found both disorderly subjects– one is a juvenile and the other is identified as Jace Brave. During the investigation, the subjects were uncooperative and as they were being placed under arrest, Brave began to resist and threatened an officer. Both subjects were taken into custody.
Brave was transported to the Hughes County Jail and is charged with threatening a law enforcement officer, simple assault intimidation, underage consumption of alcohol, obstructing an officer, resisting arrest, and underage possession of tobacco. Due to the second subject being a juvenile, no information about that person will be released.
