A 23 year old man from Pierre is in custody after driving into a parked vehicle in Pierre early Tuesday morning (May 14, 2024, 3:45am).
A spokesman for the Pierre Police Department says Patrol responded to a report of a vehicle crash in the 200 block of Mercury Street around 3:45am Tuesday. Patrol learned Dustin Marshall had driven a silver Chrysler 300 over a curb and through some grass, where he then crashed into an unoccupied Chevrolet Suburban in a driveway. Patrol located Marshall asleep in the driver’s seat.
Marshall was found to have a suspended driver’s license and was under the influence of alcohol. He was ultimately arrested and taken to the Hughes County Jail charged with Driving While Suspended, DUI 3rd Offense, Careless Driving, and Failure to Maintain Financial Responsibility.
