SEPTEMBER 25, 2024:
Rena Robbennolt (CNP, MSN) is the new Administrator for Avera Missouri River Health Center in Gettysburg (Sept. 25, 2024). She’s been serving as the interim administrator since June (2024).
Avera St. Mary’s Hospital Regional President and CEO Shantel Krebs says Robbennolt’s experience as a nurse practitioner coupled with her knowledge of the Potter County area makes her a tremendous asset to their leadership team. As Administrator, Krebs says Robbennolt will provide strategic direction in leading the Avera Missouri River Health Center campus and be accountable for the day-to-day operations of the hospital, clinic and long-term care facilities in Gettysburg.
Robbennolt has worked in health care since 1990. While in nursing school, she served as an OB scrub technician and a nurse’s aide in the recovery room at Avera St Luke’s in Aberdeen. She then worked as an RN at Avera McKennan while completing her Master’s in Nursing program through SDSU.
Originally from Columbia, SD, Robbennolt moved to Gettysburg in 1996 to begin her career as a Certified Nurse Practitioner. She served patients in Gettysburg for 14 years and in Pierre for 12 years before returning to Avera Medical Group Gettysburg in 2022.
Her husband Brian is from Gettysburg. Together they have two daughters, Jenna and Katie, who are both in college. In her free time, she enjoys reading, golfing and spending time with family.
JUNE 3, 2024:
Rena Robbennolt, CNP, MSN, has been selected as the Interim Administrator for Avera Missouri River Health Center in Gettysburg. She will begin working alongside Kristi Livermont immediately to assist with the transition of leadership responsibilities.
Rena will continue her provider practice, accepting patient appointments as she does currently.
