Leonard E. Schmidt, 90, Roscoe, SD, died Monday, August 19, 2024 at Sanford Aberdeen Medical Center, Aberdeen, SD.
He is survived by Donna, his wife of 65 years; four sons, Alan Schmidt of Redfield, SD, Loren Schmidt and Joseph (Wendy) Schmidt of Roscoe, and Duane Schmidt of Bismarck, ND; two daughters, Kathy Crackel of Rapid City, SD and Carol Geditz of Selby, SD; three brothers- Norbert (Gloria) Schmidt of Spearfish, SD, Vern (Carolyn) Schmidt of Hoven, SD, and Ken (Evie) Schmidt of Aberdeen; one sister Bonnie Taylor of Sioux Falls, SD; 12 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and one great, great granddaughter.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 AM, Tuesday, August 27, 2024 at St. Thomas Catholic Church, Roscoe, with Father Timothy Cone, Celebrant. Military rites will be by the Andrew and Harold Schauer American Legion Post No. 259, Roscoe, SD.
Visitation begins 5:00 PM Monday at the Church with a Wake Service at 7:00 PM.
Services are in care of Lien Funeral Home, Bowdle.
