Mass of Christian Burial for Mary Kay Antell, 58, of Ft. Yates, will be at 10 AM, Friday, September 6, 2024, at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Ft. Yates. A procession will leave Kesling Funeral Home at 4 PM to the church for visitation at 5 PM with a prayer service at 7 PM Thursday. Mary passed away Sunday, September 1, 2024, at her home. Kesling Funeral Home of Mobridge is in charge of arrangements.
Mary was born on June 26, 1966 in Minneapolis Minnesota to Maurice Antell and Effie Alkire Antell.
Mary was raised and educated in Fort Yates earning her BA degree in Social Work. She worked for the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe and due to health reasons was forced to retire at an early age.
Mary was a very kind caring person who often was a shoulder of support for many people. She was a person who took the time to stop and visit her many friends where ever she went.

Surviving Mary are her children: Rhonnae Antell, Lawrence James “Cedro” Eagle Chasing and Hunka son Tristan DeMarrias. Two Grandchildren: Rylon Antell and Jannae Eagle Chasing. One brother: Maurice (Ramona) Antell. Sisters: Linda Antell, Pam Antell Houdek, Kim Antell Olson (Ronald) and Mary Sanchez (Michael). Nieces: Amanda Antell, Lalynn Antell Hoosier (Pablo), Mariah Antell and Amber Sanchez, Joyann Dojan, Michelle Dojan, Rachell Houdek Krenz (Eric). Nephews: Andrew Antell, Colby Antell, Arnie Dojan and Corey Tripp (Susan). Other grandchildren: Braxton, Ryker, Xavier, Treyton, Kansas, Khili, Emmy, Kenny, Constance, Laynie, Kyla, Oliver, Judy, Andy and Jordan.
Mary was proceeded in death by her parents Maurice and Effie Antell.
