Early numbers indicate the Pierre School District brought in slightly more revenue than had been anticipated in the 2024 budget, but also spent slightly more than had been projected.
Business manager Travis Dovre says most of the increased revenue amount was in the general fund.
Dovre says the special education and activity funds brought in less revenue than was expected.
When not including the Activity Fund, Dovre says the General Fund spent about $1.1 million less than anticipated.
In total, the unofficial numbers show the Pierre School District spent about $740-thousand more than had been budgeted.
