The Hughes County Highway Department has finished repairs on a section of 198th Street, and the road is back open for normal travel. The segment between 318th Avenue and 321st Avenue had been closed earlier today (Oct. 28, 2024) for road repair work.
A section of 309th Avenue in Hughes County was also temporarily closed Monday. From Highway 14 south, by Blunt, it’s closed for railroad repair work. Please use an alternate route during this time. The roadway is expected to be back open by 6pm.
In both instances, the Highway Department thanks the citizens of Hughes County for their cooperation.
