An artist from Pierre is one of the artists featured in an exhibit currently on display at Dakota State University in Madison, SD.
“Sketch then Paint” features work from Pierre artist James Pollock and Sioux Falls artist Steve Randall.
Randall and Pollock were soldier artists in Vietnam in the late 1960s, but this display covers works ranging from plein air paintings to imaginative and intuitive pieces developed from small sketches.
The display is open until Nov. 25, 2024, at the First Bank & Trust Gallery in the Karl Mundt Library on the DSU campus in Madison.
