With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved child, Akichita Hoksila James
Lovelette, who was taken from us too soon on Friday, November 15, 2024, at Monument Health
in Rapid City, SD at the tender age of 10 days old.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Monday, December 2, 2024, at CRST Bingo Hall, Eagle
Butte. Burial will follow in the Congregational Cemetery, Cherry Creek, SD. A wake service will
be 7:00 p.m., Sunday, December 1, 2024, at the bingo hall, with a procession from the 4-mile at
4:00 p.m.
Akichita Hoksila James Lovelette was born November 5, 2024, to Misty Bad Warrior and
Chaske Lovelette at Monument Health in Rapid City, SD. He brought immeasurable joy and
light into our lives with his strong heart, radiant smile, and boundless curiosity.
Akichita Hoksila baby boy is joining his loved ones preceding him to heaven, grandparents:
Alverta Bowker, Stephanie Looking Back, and many loved ones to care for him in Star Nation.
He is survived by his parents; brothers: Blu and Rocky Bad Warrior; sisters: Cherish and Alverta
Lovelette; many cousins, aunts, uncles, and unci, Marian Bagola; grandparents: Jerylin Bad
Warrior, Jody Bad Warrior, Arlene Demery, and Sylvester Waloke; and many more relatives,
who all honor him for his strength. As a family we will carry him in our hearts and celebrate his
life with love.
