Jalen James Fool Bear was born to Kimberly Standing Crow and Gerard Fool Bear on August 5, 1995, in Bismarck, ND.
Jalen loved spending time with family and friends telling stories of his crazy escapades, playing video games and chit chatting with all those who stopped by.
At the end of May 2018, Jalen met Desiree Eagle, he lived with her and her family until he passed away. Jalen helped her take part in raising their nephews Jace Royal, Dakota James Blu, Phillip King and Chet’ka Jerome who he learned to love and care for like his own. Jalen also loved when their grandson Kai James would come visit. Before Jalen was hospitalized, he enjoyed cooking for them, playing video games with them, teaching them how to ride bike, going to the skate parks, the river, and going on walks or just cruising. Jalen also became a very good uncle to Scarlet, Kortez, Kieri, Nalah, Lynkin, Rodrick, Chad, Jr., Chadyn and Chasiti. Desiree’s sisters Prairie, Sadie, Lacey, Annika and brothers AJ, Jordan, Chad, Jon Jr., Beau, Bronson, all took him in as a brother and her uncle and aunts treated him like family too, her mother, Cynthia Agard loved and cared about Jalen like her own son.
Jalen didn’t have any children of his own, but he always had love for his younger brothers, sisters, cousins, and his favorite little ones Jace, Kota and Kai whom he spent a lot of time with.
Although Jay lived a very humble life and didn’t have many worldly possessions, he was rich with love, kindness and acceptance of all those who crossed his path. Jay’s carefree spirit, humorous nature, and friendly smile made it easy to make friends wherever he went.
Jay believed in a higher power and prayed in his time of need. His family takes comfort in knowing that he will be rejoicing in a place of peace and happiness where he will be free to dance on the light of day. Until we me again, Doks’a Ake’.
