FT. PIERRE, SD – Matthew Mitchell, passed away unexpectedly on December 24, 2024, in Ft. Pierre, South Dakota, at the age of 45.

Matthew was born on October 14, 1979, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to Janice Cassidy and Melvin Mitchell.

Matthew worked as a cashier at Metro City, as well as construction worker by trade. He could often be found enjoying the outdoors, fishing, hunting, and anything with an engine captivated his curiosity and mechanical inclination. He also enjoyed listening to old music and watching movies.

Matthew is survived by his son, Levi Cobbler, who was the pride and joy of his life. Sisters, Michele (John) Weischedel and Maleia Mitchell; his niece, Wynter; along with numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.

Matthew is was preceded in death by his mother and father, as well as his grandparents.
