The Capital Area United Way is celebrating 35 years of service and support to the Pierre and Fort Pierre communities.
This year’s fundraising goal is $585,000, with about 5% of that left to raise. To help reach the goal, Executive Director Becky Spoehr is encouraging people to donate $35. She says:
- $35 can provide essential educational resources for a child in need, opening doors to a brighter future.
- $35 can offer vital health services to someone who otherwise might not be able to afford care.
- $35 can go a long way in supporting the financial needs of CAUW 13 Partner Agencies
Spoehr says with a contribution of $35, donors can make a direct and lasting impact on someone’s life for years to come. She says together, donors to Capital Area United Way have helped children, families and individuals access educational opportunities, health services and financial assistance which create “a stronger, more connected community for everyone.”
