Instead of selecting a business of the year, the Fort Pierre Development Corporation put the focus on community service during its annual meeting this week (Jan. 23, 2025).
The “Outstanding Community Service Award” was given to the Stanley County School District’s Career and Technical Education program. The students are led by Nichole Hahn, CTE Student Adviser, and CTE teacher John Anders.
Lyle Magorien of Chase Auto & RV and Stanley County School District Superintendent Dan Baldwin retired from the FPDC board. Members then elected Beth Hendrichsen, owner of The UPS Store, and Mike Peterson, owner of Dakota Emporium, to take their places.
