A third grader and a sixth grader who attend school at Agar-Blunt-Onida are two of the 12 students who are being recognized for their artistic talents through the South Dakota Governor’s Student Art Competition.
The Governor’s Student Art Exhibition, which is open to the public in the South Dakota Capitol building, includes work from the following students:

The Governor’s Student Art Exhibition is open for viewing on the first-floor rotunda of the Capitol through September 2025. The Capitol is open to the public from 8 am-5 pm, daily.

This opportunity for student artists is a collaboration between Governor Noem and the South Dakota Arts Council, a state agency organized under the South Dakota Department of Tourism. The mission of the Arts Council is to advance South Dakota’s artistic and cultural vitality through funding, connection, and resources.
