The new manger of the Pierre Regional Airport will start his job next month (March 17, 2025).
Pierre City Commissioner Jamie Huizenga shared some information about Casey Pamperien (pam-per-eye-n) at this week’s (Feb. 25, 2025) commission meeting.
Audio PlayerHuizenga says until Pamperien arrives in town, former City Engineer John Childs will continue overseeing airport operations.
Audio PlayerPamperien will oversee all airport operations including facilities management, licensing and regulations, federal reporting, hangar and hay leases, Airport Rescue Firefighter Operations, as well as coordination with the federal Transportation Safety Administration, Denver Air Connection, Mustang Aviation, state and federal Departments of Transportation and local vendors.
Pamperien replaces Brian Cowels who served as Pierre’s Airport Manager since March 2023.
