For the fourth year in a row, Mobridge-Pollock boys basketball are headed to a regional semifinal after defeating Chamberlain at home 52-23 Friday night. They beat the Cubs earlier this season by 29 points, and the Tigers enjoyed a similar domination once again. They stormed out to a 10-2 run to start the game, and grew their lead to 20-3 after the first quarter. Chamberlain could not get anything to fall, and it was 31-8 at the half.
The game ends up being Mobridge-Pollock’s final home game of the season, and they were able to get everybody into the game with a big lead. That included seniors Peter Fried and Eli Eagle. Senior Corbin Stoick was the first man off the bench, Jackson Eisemann scored 13 points, and Shane Henderson added 10 points with an early dunk. The victory advances the Tigers to the 6A semifinal, with a SoDak 16 bid on the line. In their way is a familiar foe in Stanley County, who defeated them 65-60 last Friday. The rematch will again come in Fort Pierre, 5 p.m. central tip off.
