Contractor to begin creating area for Fort Pierre Maintenance Yard Buildings this week

Dirt work was scheduled to start this week on the new maintenance yard and storage area for the City of Fort Pierre.

During the city council meeting this week (April 7, 2025), Brosz Engineering Project Manager Trandon Walters said some details of the maintenance yard still needed to be ironed out.

Walters said he was also working through some technical parts of the project.

The maintenance yard and buildings will allow Fort Pierre to keep property and equipment in one spot. Cold storage areas are also part of the design.
