PIERRE, SD – Meagan Jayne Erickson, 34, of Pierre, SD, started her journey home on April, 2 2025. There will be a celebration of her life on Wednesday, April 9, 2025 at The Longbranch in Pierre. Meagan will be laid to rest with her mother in Canada.

Meagan was born on January 19, 1991 to Sarah (Laframboise) and Ron Erickson in Pierre. She grew up with her siblings in Fort Pierre, SD, and attended Stanley County High School.

Meagan worked various places, but her favorite was Oahe Inc. She loved spending time with all of the individuals that she served. She was the common denominator in numerous friendships and she made a point to never leave anyone out. She was great at building connections.

Meagan is survived by her dad Ron, her siblings: Melinda (Shaun) Maloney, RJ Erickson, Melissa Erickson, DJ Erickson and Myriam (Andrew) McMahon, niece and nephew Amelia and Tristan Maloney, and a special family member Kyuss. She is also survived by many family members: her aunt Melanie Rowell and cousins Stephanie, Hannah and Eric, uncle Keith Erickson, aunt Eva Lafromboise, uncle Clifford Thomas, Kristi Sinclair, Doris Desjanlais and numerous other family members.
