Pierre traveled to Aberdeen yesterday to compete in the Hub City invite to face off with some of the top golf talent in the state at Lee Park GC.
Aberdeen’s Olivia Braun, who is quickly becoming a household name, dominated the field yet again after shooting a -1, 70 and finishing first. Braun is coming off of a -4, 67 at Hillsview earlier this week. The Govs had finishers just outside the top 10 thanks to Hadley Harts 83 which put her in 13th. The Govs also had a nice performance out of Drew Rechtenbaugh who shot a 93 to finish 22nd, Sittie Kasan finishing closely behind with a 94 and placing 25th.
In the end, Aberdeen would dominate on their home turf finishing first with a combined team score of +11, well ahead of Mitchell who placed second as a team with a +28. Pierre, who came in at +81 as a team, would place fifth.
The next round for the Govs will come Monday in the Washington Invite at the Sioux Falls Prairie Green Golf Course.
