Concrete repair work is scheduled to begin Monday (May 5, 2025) on the Cheyenne River Bridge located on S.D. Highway 34 in Haakon and Ziebach Counties.
According to the South Dakota Department of Transportation, an alternating stop-and-go traffic pattern will be used through the work zone, with a 15-foot width restriction on the bridge during the project. Additional signing will be in place to alert the traveling public of the need to stop at the bridge ends. Motorists can expect minor delays during these times.
Work on the $125,260 project will consist of removing concrete in need of repair and replacing it with concrete patching material. The overall project completion date is June 2025.
