In back-to-back games, the Twins and Mariners game was decided in extra innings, this time the Twins were on the losing end. After winning by 6 yesterday, the Twins lost by one in a unique finish tonight.
The winning run was scored in the bottom of the 11th inning on a bang-bang play at the plate in which Seattleās Miles Mastrobuoni slid in before the tag. The dribbler that won it came off the bat of Cole Young who was making his major league debut.
The Twins fall to 31-26 while the Mariners improved to the same record. Minnesota sits six games back of the Detroit Tigers in the AL Central.
