It was a perfect setting for the Oahe Zap to kick off their home schedule for the 2025 ILB season, and the smoke in the air started to make sense because their bats were on fire. Sunny and 79 at the ballpark and a Shock bobblehead wasn’t bad for those in attendance. The Zap welcomed the Fremont Moo in for an evening start and delivered in front of a packed house at Hyde Stadium with a 13-2 blowout win.
The Moo scored two early runs in the second, but Zap starter Easton Pratt was able to get out of a jam and give it to his offense who would tie it up in the bottom half of the inning.
In the third inning, the Zap scored four and then blew it wide open with seven in the fifth. Ty Farwell had a huge part in the scoring with two-doubles, one of which clearing loaded bases.
The Zap will face off with the Moo again tomorrow at 2:30 CT and will be aired on River 92.7 and DRGnews.com.
