The Zap wrapped up their homestand with the Fremont Moo yesterday afternoon, and it was almost Deja vu for the Zap as they exploded for 11 runs after posting 13 runs the day before. The Zap scored in the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th and 7th innings again yesterday, run-ruling the Moo for the second straight day winning 11-1. It was a bullpen day for the Zap, but it seemed like everyone who took the mound had their best stuff. AJ Ponciano delivered back-to-back 1,2,3 innings for Oahe before retiring for the day. Bryce VanDewostine and Wyatt Gladue both had good outings on the mound as the bullpen collectively only held Fremont to one run on three hits.
The Moo helped the Zap with some errors throughout the game, but head coach Jamy Habeger was certainly pleased with his offense’s best day of production of the season thus far. The Zap improve to 2-0 at home on the season, and sit at 3-5 on the year. The Zap will be off for the next two days before heading to Casper for a series. The next Zap home game is next Monday, June 9th at 6:05 against Spearfish. Get your tickets at OaheZap.com, we will also broadcast the game on River 92.7 and stream it on DRGnews.com.
