Commissioner Duane Mohr talked about the recent clean-up days at the Landfill.
Highway
For the Highway Department, the commissioners approved a waterline installation on 315th Avenue by Hoven, and they approved the Purple Wave surplus blade option for the 2015 CAT motor grader.
Emergency Manager
Walworth County Emergency Manager Jeff Jensen updated the board on the recent IMAT exercise held in Mobridge.
Jensen also talked about the South Dakota Emergency Managers Association lobbying the state retirement system to move the Emergency Management position from a Class “A” retirement to Class “B”. He said they are seeking a resolution of support from the commissioners.
Jensen will provide the auditor with a copy of the resolution to be advertised and voted on at the next commission meeting.
The commissioners also approved the surplus of a 2016 Chevy Silverado 1500. It will be up for auction with other County items on June 9th and 10th.
