Capital City Campus and SDSU offer associate degree in agricultural science course in Pierre

For the past year, South Dakota State University in Brookings has been offering an associate degree in agricultural science through Capital City Campus in Pierre

Capital City Campus Executive Director Laurie Gill says it’s a versatile degree.

Gill says the classes are directly connected to what Ag Science students are taking on SDSU’s campus.

Gill says Ag Science students at Capital City Campus also receive access to other services provided by SDSU.

As the Ag Science degree option enters its second year of availability in Pierre, Gill says officials from Capital City Campus and SDSU are also discussing other degree options that are needed in central South Dakota and how those educational opportunities can be provided using a similar hybrid format.
