The annual Fall Forum for South Dakota’s health information exchange, Health Link, will be in a virtual format rather than in person.
Health Secretary Melissa Magstadt says Health Link allows healthcare providers to securely share patient information, enhancing care coordination, reducing medical errors and ensuring that vital health data is accessible when needed. She says by providing comprehensive patient records across different care settings, Health Link helps improve healthcare outcomes and supports public health initiatives.
Each session will include:
- Updates from the South Dakota Health Link team and progress on technology enhancements;
- New members and other highlights; and
- Health Insights Analytics Showcase, featuring:
- Cross-Hospital Patient Movement Tracking;
- Predictive Analytics for Readmission Risk; and
- Maternal Health Access and Outcomes in Hospital Desert Areas.
Participants can select the session that best fits their schedule:
- Thursday, October 23 | 1:00 – 2:00 PM CT
- Thursday, October 30 | 12:00 – 1:00 PM CT
- Thursday, November 6 | 10:00 – 11:00 AM CT
