PIERRE, SD  – Terrell “Terry” Holmes, 75, of Pierre, SD passed away at Avera St. Mary’s Hospital in Pierre on September 27, 2025 surrounded by loved ones.

Terry was born on December 1, 1949, to Dick and Daisy (Wheeler) Holmes in Winner, South Dakota. He was the brother of Sharon (deceased) and Larry. He grew up in Westover, SD and Murdo, SD graduating from Murdo High School.

Terry was able to share 53 years of marriage to the love of his life Debbie. He was the proud father of Cory and his wife Dawn and a cherished grandfather of two grandsons, Mason and Josh (fiancée Alyssa).

He will be remembered for his love of family and spending time with them, fishing in stock dams and hunting.

Funeral service will be held at Ss. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Pierre on Friday, November 14th at 2:00 pm.
