Onnalecia Swan, 15, of Eagle Butte, passed away Sunday, November 2, 2025, in Eagle Butte.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. MST, Friday, November 14, 2025, at CRST Bingo Hall,
Eagle Butte. Burial will follow in St. Andrew’s Episcopal Cemetery, Cherry Creek. A wake
service will be 7:00 p.m., Thursday, November 13, 2025, at the hall with a procession from the
4-Mile at 4:00 p.m.
Onnalecia “Onna’ Charlize Swan was born on November 29, 2009, in Eagle Butte, SD to Johnny
Blanco and Heather Swan. She was baptized into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day
Saints. She had attended Theodore Jamerson Middle School and C-EB Jr. High School, and she
participated in numerous school activities such as basketball, volleyball, football games.
Onna’s favorite color was Olive Green, she loved the color green, she loved to make everyone
laugh, she always lit up every room she walked into. Onna had one of the most unique
personalities ever. She was always herself, she was always bold, and she had her very own
unique style. She loved spending time with her siblings and with her nieces and nephews. She
also loved walking around and taking pictures and attending her school home games, she had
made a lot of friends along the way. She was also very empathetic as a person. Onna loved
helping her oldest sister cook even if she just helped by mixing the food and making her laugh.
Her favorite food was chicken alfredo, she also enjoyed eating hot Cheetos with lemon. Some of
her favorite drinks were Dr. Pepper, White Monsters and Mango Arizona’s. She loved being
outside and living in the moment.
Those left to mourn her passing are her mother, Heather Swan; siblings: Aria (Levi), Avya,
Johnny Jr, Sean, and Avaylia; aunties: Ariana (Josh), and Camielle; uncles: Trevor (Thomasa),
Francis Swan, and Orby Swan; and many friends and relatives.
Welcoming her into the spirit world are her grandparents, the late Nola Lee Swan and Troy Dean
Straighthead; late aunt, Alicia Rae Straighthead; late sibling, Jake William Morrison II; late great
grandparents: Manuel James Swan II, Angeline Swan, Francis Straighthead, and Lavern
