The storm system that brought blizzard conditions to the North Dakota/Minnesota boarder to North Central Iowa packed a punch as it ripped across the state in the early morning hours of December 28th. Mobridge saw a 44 degree temperature swing overnight with from Saturday’s high of 46.9 degrees to just 3 degrees Sunday morning at 6:00 a.m. CST. The Mobridge Municipal Airport recorded at peak wind gust at 1:52 a.m. of 46 mph. Windchill values hit -22 below. at 1:52 a.m.
