This weekend kicks off the South Dakota State Fair in Huron. One of the events happening is the 10th Annual South Dakota Timed Event Championship Rodeo. You can catch the rodeo action September 5th and 6th.
Elite youth rodeo contestant from South Dakota and other states will compete in six timed events. Any athlete ages 14-19 are eligible to compete. Those events include tied-down calf roping, barrel racing, team roping, goat tying, breakaway roping and steer wrestling.
The overall winner will walk away with the title of “South Dakota Timed Event Champion” along with a cash award. Event winner will receive a trophy saddle.
