The South Dakota State Fair kicks off this week. Fair organizers have decided to devote the first day of the fair to those who sacrifice so much for our country. Thursday, September 3rd will be Veterans Day at the State Fair.
There will be various things going on throughout the day. Starting at 10:30 am, the fair will be hosting “Salute to Veterans.” This is a grandstand event that will have State Attorney General Jason Ravnsborg as the Keynote Speaker.
There will also be representatives from the South Dakota Department of Veterans Affairs at in informational boot in the Expo Building throughout the week. The Department of Veterans Affairs is Booth #50 inside the hall. There will be folks manning the booth the length of the fair.
Veterans are encouraged to stop by and learn more about the benefits and programs that are available to them. Especially Blue Water Navy Vietnam Veterans.
Fair officials want to honor those who have made the ultimate sacrifices for our country. So, on September 3rd only, all active military and veterans will receive free gate admission.
