Last night in High School Volleyball Ipswich downed Waubay Summet in straight sets 25 to 12, 25 to 14 and 25 to 14. Chesney Oliver whent 13 for 13 from the service line with 3 aces. Halle Heinz set 35 of 36 with 8 assists and Paige Mehlberg was 16 for 18 hitting with 10 kills in the match. Miller defeated Sully Buttes in straight sets 25 to 17, 25 to 13 and 25 to 12. Storm Johnson had 10 kills hitting 21 of 25. Mobridge Pollock got a straight set win over Potter County 25 to 23, 25 to 20 and 25 to 22. The Mobridge Pollock Golf team competed in Chamberlain yesterday and Sean Moser was the low score golfer for the Tigers shooting a 48 going out and a 45 coming in. Will Blankatrz shot a 50 going out and 48 coming in. Simon Fried shot a 51 going out and a 50 coming in. John Beadle shot a 53 going out and a 49 coming in.
Tonight, the football fields around South Dakota will be filled with big plays and rivalry’s as teams compete in week three. Ipswich Edmunds Central will be in Clear Lake against Deuel, North Border, which is the combined team of Eureka, Bowdle, Leola and Frederick, will be in Langford against Langford area, Potter County will be in Onida against Sully Buttes, Timber Lake will have their bye week.
