Lauretta was the final sibling to pass away. She grew up on the family farm in the Onida/Agar area along with her siblings Lenice, Alma, Helen, Ella, Ethel, Joseph, and Alvin until they lost the farm during the dirty 30’s. They attended country school near Onida and went to high school in Pierre.

Lauretta was a member of the Vivian Lutheran Church where she spent many years quilting with the Happy Knitters along with other members of the community. She was also very active with the American Legion Auxiliary and a member of the Local Bridge club. She loved to bowl in her younger days. Her and Glenn spent many Saturday evenings dancing. Lauretta loved it when her nieces came to visit and they spent countless hours playing cards.
