The Battle Branch Boys and The Fishing Crew are excited to bring a professional-grade Adaptive Walleye Tournament and an action packed shooting event to Pierre, SD. From June 8th – 10th , they will expand their mission to South Dakota to host this inaugural two-day event designed to support individuals with disabilities and provide them with an outdoor experience like no other.
For this event, The Battle Branch Boys are partnering with The Fishing Crew out of Pierre and Special Olympics South Dakota. While this year marks the inaugural event, organizers hope to expand participation to even more individuals with disabilities in the future. The mission is
dedicated to providing high-level competitive outdoor experiences and mentorship, proving that physical challenges do not limit outdoor adventures.
The schedule features multi-sport outdoor activities:
Tuesday Afternoon: The public is invited to show their support at the official weigh-in at High Point Hunting Lodge, located at 20940 296th Ave, Pierre, SD. Weigh-ins are expected to begin around 3:30pm, though the final time will be confirmed on social media. Depending on weather conditions, angling action will take place on either Lake Oahe or Lake Sharpe. All fishing is scheduled to begin at 9:00am.
Wednesday: The mission continues with an action-packed shooting event held at Willow
Creek Wildlife, Inc. in Fort Pierre.
The mission has already mobilized significant resources, including lodging secured at High Point Hunting Lodge, access to Willow Creek for shooting activities.
