Hughes County Highway Department replacing Slaba Bridge near Blunt

The Hughes County Highway Department has started (June 29, 2026) the process of replacing the Slaba Bridge, located on 314th Avenue east of Blunt.

The bridge will be closed during this work and warning signage will be in place. Affected routes are east of Blunt on 314th Street and 198th going south to Highway 14.

The Hughes County Highway Department appreciates people’s patience and cooperation during completion of this bridge replacement work.
