First Lady Sandy Rhoden hosting Tour & Treats event Wednesday afternoon to celebrate America’s 250th birthday

The public is invited to celebrate America’s 250th birthday during a free Tour & Treats event Wednesday (July 8, 2026) at the South Dakota Governor’s Mansion in Pierre.

South Dakota Secretary of Labor and Regulation Marcia Hultman says First Lady Rhoden is hosting the event from 1:30-3:30pm CT at the Governor’s Residence.

Hultman says Tour & Treats is a unique opportunity to see the Governor’s Residence.

The America’s 250th birthday celebration with First Lady Sandy Rhoden on Wednesday at the Governor’s Residence (119 N. Washington Avenue) in Pierre is a come-and-go, open house style event. It is free to attend.
