The annual Trader Days & Turkey Races are happening Saturday (Aug. 8, 2026) in Fort Pierre.
Scott Hoyt with the Fort Pierre Chamber says things are happening on Deadwood Street.
Hoyt says the Turkey Races start at 6pm CT.
Hoyt explains how the calcutta works.
He says they race four turkeys at a time.
