DRG Media Mobridge – Rain started in the early morning hours on Monday morning (September 28th) with tons of lightning and much need precipitation in the form of thundershowers that quickly turned into thunderstorms. There was only one severe thunderstorm warning, but a few special weather statements from the National Weather Service is Aberdeen.
Two flash flood warning were issued for the Green Grass area in Dewey county and Corson and Campbell counties for strong wind and heavy rain. The Kenel and Pollock area had 3 to 4 inches before 10:00 am CDT.
There were two reports of thunderstorm wind gusts of 71 and 77 mph in Pollock and Kenel. A Facebook follower posted 3.3 inches in Hull, ND. Other Dakota Radio Group Mobridge Facebook posts included: 1.76″ SE of Little Eagle, 1.70″ at Wakpala School, 1.96″ in Greenway and 1.60″ at Maple Leaf.
